The nudge® platform requires full background access to location
When granting access to location information, Always allow or Allow all the time (depending on the version of mobile OS) must be selected for the nudge® platform to trigger geolocation-based nudges properly. The system does not currently support granting Allow while in use access.

How to check and update your location setting
On iOS
To check your location sharing setting in iOS, open the main Settings app, scroll down to the mobile banking app and tap it. There you'll see Location; make sure it is set to Always.
Please note that when first installing your mobile banking application, current versions of iOS will only allow the user to initially select Allow While in Use. This is somewhat cosmetic; behind the scenes the app is actually asking the OS for "Always" access, and it will provisionally be granted that permission. After a short period of time (sometimes literally a few minutes, sometimes a day or two), the OS will show a confirmation dialog to the user, prompting them to either "switch" to Allow Always access, or "keep" While in Use. The article linked above includes details around messaging that can be added to the OS dialogs, helping educate the device holder as to why they are being asked for Allow Always access. We encourage you to review this information, and to reach out to Larky and your mobile banking app provider if you have any questions or would like to modify the language being shown for your app.
On Android
On Android devices, you can long-tap on the mobile banking app itself to pull up a menu of choices, including App Info. Tap that and then on the Permissions option. Choose Location, and make sure it is set to Allow all the time. Older versions of the Android OS don't differentiate between different levels of location access; in that case just make sure the Location permission itself is enabled
