If you have a tester who isn't receiving test nudges, here are some best practices and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Check Your Device Permissions
First, please ensure your app permissions for the test app are correctly set on your device. You can access these permissions in the settings of your device:
- Push Notifications: Make sure push notifications are set to "Allow."
- Location Sharing: Ensure location sharing is set to " Allow all the time."
Uninstall Production or Older Testing Apps
Conflicts can arise between testing and production environments. Uninstall the production app from your device. Additionally, if you’ve conducted tests in the past, you will need to uninstall any older test apps to install the most up-to-date version. Your mobile banking provider can provide you with the most up-to-date version.
Uninstall and Reinstall the Test App
If your permissions are correctly set but you're still not receiving nudges, the next step is to uninstall and reinstall the test app. Sometimes, reinstallation can take multiple attempts.
For iOS Users:
1. Uninstall the app.
2. Power off the device completely, then turn it back on.
3. Reinstall the app from TestFlight.
For Android Users:
1. Clear the app's cache and storage by long-pressing the app icon, selecting "App info," navigating to "Storage & cache," and tapping both "Clear cache" and "Clear storage."
2. Uninstall the app and reinstall it from the shared apk link.
Adding Additional Testers to Recieve Test Nudges
Larky support can only add users to the Larky portal. If you wish to add additional testers to receive test nudges, please provide their information and device types to your mobile banking provider.
Understanding Who Will Receive Your Test Nudge
Only test users your mobile banking app provider has added to the test environment who have opted into the correct permissions above will receive a test nudge.
*Uninstalling and reinstalling the test apps will increase the count of approximate recipients.
