Validation testing is commonly completed to ensure a successful start with the Larky before launching in production. This guide will help you through it quickly and thoroughly!
For the best testing results, you'll need:
- About 15-20 minutes a day over two or three days.
- At a minimum, ensure you have at least one tester using an iPhone and one using an Android device.
Note: This guide assumes you are testing before your first production launch with the platform. If you are already active with nudge® messaging and are testing a new integration, please contact us at support@larky.com to ensure you don't impact your account holders.
Set Up Your Test Recipients
Determine how many phones will receive messages and ensure they are correctly set up to permit push notifications and location sharing. A mixture of Andriod and iOs is best! Ensure your digital banking provider's latest test mobile banking app is installed. Inform your test audience about the upcoming test nudge, including the expected delivery time and instructions on what to look for. Ask them to confirm the receipt time and check if the nudge content is displayed correctly.
Create Your Test Locations
Log in to the Larky portal and create your locations that will be used for testing. Visit this helpful guide to learn how.

To make testing easier, set the maximum frequency to "Once an hour" for these tests. This setting is only available in your portal during testing to help get you started quickly. This allows you to confirm they are working as expected without possibly waiting a day or so.
When you or one of your testers arrives at a target location, the nudge should be delivered according to the controls you set in the portal.
Test Location Messaging
Create a location test nudge. Visit this helpful guide to learn how. The messages should arrive on the test devices shortly after their scheduled time.
To keep things organized, name your test messages descriptively. For example:
